Sl st into the next stitch, then cut the yarn and close the hole with the yarn tail, by threading the yarn through one loop from each of the 7 sc stitches, and then pulling tight to close. Thread the yarn end into the tail to hide it.

Sl st into the next stitch, then cut the yarn (leaving long tail) and tie a knot. Make two and sew onto the body on either side, near the start of the tail, and try to keep it symmetrical on both sides. When there is only a small part left open, add a small amount of stuffing before sewing the rest up.
