One of the free amigurumi crochet patterns we will share today is the amigurumi Rex The Dog, whose photos and design belong to @bumbee_crochet. You can learn how to crochet these dog using the free amigurumi pattern. Thanks to @bumbee_crochet for this cute dog.
Materials:
- Yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby (less than half a skein of the main color, a bit of second color)
- Alize Softy: white color for muzzle and brown/blue for spot
- Alize Cotton Gold: brown color for nose and white for inner part
- 3.5 mm for Himalaya Dolphin Baby and Alize Softy, 1.75 mm for Alize Cotton Gold
- 12 mm safety eyes
- Black and white cotton yarn for muzzle
- Sewing needle and scissors
- Fiberfill
Abbreviations:
R = row
MR = magic ring
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
(…) * 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated
Muzzle
With Alize Softy yarn and 3.5 mm crochet hook:
Ch 5, from the second ch from the hook:
R 1: 3 sc, 3 sc in the last st, continue working on the other side of chain: 2 sc, inc (10)
R 2: inc, 2 sc, inc * 3, 2 sc, inc * 2 (16)
R 3: 1 sc, inc, 2 sc, (1 sc, inc) * 3, 2 sc, (1 sc, inc) * 2 (22)
R 4: 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, (2 sc, inc) * 3, 2 sc, (2 sc, inc) * 2 (28)
R 5-7: 28 sc (3 rows)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Spot
With Alize Softy yarn and 3.5 mm crochet hook:
R 1: 6 sc in MR
R 2: (1 sc, 3 sc in one st) * 3 (12)
R 3: (2 sc, 2 inc) * 3 (18)
R 4: 4 sc, 3 sc in one st, (5 sc, 3 sc in one st) * 2, 1 sc (24)
R 5: 5 sc, 2 inc, (6 sc, 2 inc) * 2, 1 sc (30)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
