Hello Amigurumi Lovers…
One of the free amigurumi crochet patterns we will share today is the sloth, whose photos and design belong to @lucy_rose_toys. You can learn how to crochet these sloth using the free amigurumi pattern. Thanks to Lucy Rozonova for this cute sloth.
Materials
1. Yarn of three colours on your choice. I use Drops Nord and Drops Alpaca for fluffy toys or YarnArt Jeans, Drops Safran, YarnArt Ideal for smooth ones.
2. Crochet hook according to your yarn. (I use Clover 1,5 or 1.75).
3. Yarn needle, sewing needle.
4. Black thread for embroidering the nose (e.g. YarnArt Canarias). Small amount of ivory yarn for embroidering the claws (e.g. 100% cotton Baby Cotton 50 g 180 m)
5. Button eyes diameter 5 mm, sewing thread of black colour to sew the eyes.
6. Poliester fiberfill.
7. A piece of velcro tape if you use a fluffy yarn.
Abbreviations
MR – magic ring
ch – chain stitch
st(s) – stitchles)
slst – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in the same st)
dec – decrease (crochet 2 sts together)
(…) x n – repeat the instructions in the brackets n times
(n) – amount of sts in row
rnd(s) – round(s)
Work in continuos rounds unless otherwise instructed.
Face
1 rnd: 9 ch, start in the second chain from the hook: 1 inc, 6 SC, 3 sc in the last st, turn and continue on the other side of the chain, 7 sc (18)
Continue crocheting in spiral.
2 rnd: 2 inc, 6 sc, 3 inc, 6 sc, 1 inc (24)
3 rnd: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 2, 6 sc, (1 sc, 1 inc) x 3, 7 sc, 1 inc, slst (30)
Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.
Spots around the eyes (make two)
7 ch, start in the second chain from the hook: 1 inc, 4 sc, 3 sc in the last st, turn and continue on the other side of the chain, 5 sc (14)
